Mid-Week Roundup

Room Makeover

A couple months ago Annie Selke reached out and asked if I would be interested in refreshing my bedroom for their blog (they’re featuring one influencer a month). I was so excited and honored they chose me that I jumped at the chance to give my room the makeover it deserved! I can’t wait to share the finished results with y’all, but had to share a few pieces I picked out to give you a little sneak peek!

Trio Bedding – This was the first item I picked out – It’s such a classic look that will always be in style – Plus it’s navy!
Quinn French Blue Cotton Blanket – I love the idea of mixing different blues and patterns and this blanket immediately caught my eye!
Trimaran Stripe Navy/Ivory Indoor/Outdoor Wouf – And because I couldn’t forget about Duke – how perfect is this dog bed?!

Friends Doing Big Things

A few of my closest friends have all recently started their own companies/businesses and it’s been such an incredible experience watching them grow and thrive! My friends Jane & Jeremy in NYC started Cunucu Dog Rescue, an organization aimed at connecting Aruban dogs in need to the loving forever families they deserve. Follow them on Instagram here to stay up to date on the latest puppies available for adoption! My girl Randi, owner of Kay & Co has added yet another business to her name – The Community! The Community is a female-founded retail shop & workshop space with a curated collection of small shops & indie brands from around the globe. If you live in Charleston, stopping by The Community in the Cigar Factory is a must! Another Charleston #bossbabe and bestie of mine, Ashley, recently launched Allium, a retail & yoga company based in Charleston – her pieces can even be purchased at The Community! I’m so proud of all of their hard work and am excited to see what comes next!

Trying

As someone with acne-prone skin, I’m so excited to test out Supergoop’s latest Zinc sunscreen! I can’t wait to share my thoughts!

Loving

You may have seen my post about a scarf from Banniere, but I just have to share a little more about the company. Banniere produces high quality silk scarves designed by local artists in cities all around the world. You may remember this photo where I modeled the Charleston scarf in front of the iconic pink Charleston door on Tradd Street – it was such a fun project! And I’m excited to say that I will be working with them again to model their latest Nantucket scarf. The Nantucket scarf collaboration is extra special to me, as the local artist is my good friend Meredith Hanson! We’ve actually been friends for quite a while and I am so in awe of her talent and the passion she brings to her art. It’s been amazing to watch her career grow and I’m just so incredibly proud of everything she does.

Nordstrom Sale

While I personally will not be covering the Nordstrom Sale, bloggers I love Summer Wind, Kelly in The City, and Mackenzie Horan all do a great job of rounding up the preppiest finds!
