Last week I had a work conference in San Fransisco and I was a little hesitant as this was my first week-long work trip. I figured that a free trip to San Fran couldn’t be all that bad right? I made a list of everything I wanted to do, everywhere I wanted to explore and my nerves started to turn into excitement. Imagine my disappointment when I hear the weather forecast is severe thunderstorms for 5 days straight! When we first got off the airplane we were able to explore the Union Square area before arriving at the hotel. However, since leaving the hotel was not really a viable option for the rest of the week (unless you wanted to get soaking wet and plummeted with sideways rain,) I thought I’d share some of my list with y’all on what I would have loved to do.
Golden Gate Bridge
Fisherman’s Wharf
Lombard Street
SF MOMA
Alcatraz Island
Ride the cable cars
From San Fran I took a short plane ride down to visit my little brother in LA. Although I was only there for about a day and a half, we managed to squeeze a lot in! We went to Santa Monica Pier (ate the best tacos and drank the best margaritas!), hiked Runyon Canyon, went to The Grove, a comedy show, and ended the evening with sushi and out! I can’t wait to go back and explore even more.
Until next time CA!
