While it is technically fall, NYC still has temps around the high 80s, meaning it’s way too hot to bring out our beloved layers, bulky sweaters, plaid scarves, and flannel just yet. One of the best and most comfortable fall transition outfits we’ve been wearing on repeat is shorts and a sweater. It’s the perfect combo to take you from chilly mornings to warm afternoons to colder evenings. And the best part? There are few articles of clothing more comfy than an oversized sweater. Seen here is one of my favorite – borrowed from the boys – american flag sweaters. Cozy? Check. Preppy? Check. Warm? Adorable? Check, check! I styled this sweater with cute denim cutoffs, classic Sperry’s and my favorite bag from Barrington Gifts – seriously this bag fits everything and is so cute! One of our best finds, capable of fitting a laptop in it for work during the week and hold all our necessities for a day out shopping with the girls on the weekend.
